Opportunity OverviewPublicly traded, US based manufacturer of high-purity chemicals used in the manufacture of semiconductors and micro-electronics has an immediate need for an experienced sales professional in the Western USA.Essential Functions/Key Deliverables Meets or exceeds overall sales objectives. Develops and implements marketing plans for customer revenue growth and increasing market share. Expands market share information, research on competitors, customers, and market potential. Writes, negotiates, implements, and tracks contract and contract changes for all customers. Analyzes contracts, including revenue analysis and determination of fair market value for services offered. Manages overall Company relationship with key clients and distributor partners and assists Company product managers in developing account strategy. Manages dispute resolution, complaints, and claims in a timely manner. Ensures accomplishment of Company and customer quality program requirements. Communicates regularly with accounting and supply chain to ensure proper process flow for each customer and customer needs; follows up on all changes to original order. Develops sales presentations and proposals. Abides by all safety procedures and practices applicable to location and position; participates in appropriate safety training; demonstrates commitment to and support of EH&S principles and values; champions safety as necessary.Experience A minimum of 5 to 7 years in sales, product management, or field operations in the specialty chemical or related industries. An exposure to the semiconductor/micro electronics industries is a significant plus factor. High level of motivation; ability to complete tasks and projects with minimal direct supervision. Strong knowledge of current safety and environmental laws and regulations. Current knowledge of market conditions including customer and competitor information in the semiconductor and micro electronics industries. Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines and deliverables for multiple tasks; well-developed project management skills. Strong negotiation and influencing skills and the ability to close the sale. Good understanding of financial concepts such as ROI, profitability, credit; days-sales-outstanding (DSO), margins, etc. Proficiency with commonly used computer programs i.e. MS Office; email, internet, and CRM systems. Excellent communication skills â oral and written. Experience working with Federal, state, and local environmental regulations including RCRA preferred.Education B.S. Chemistry, Engineering or equivalent industry experience. Financial analysis training or experience highly desirable.Other Location: Portland, OR metro area of Phoenix, AZ metro area; remote employee â work from your home office. Travel â depends on location. Portland based candidate would travel <25% overnight. A Phoenix based candidate would have a bit more overnight travel. Weekly work schedule would be typically 2 to 3 days in the field and the balance working from your office. Reports to the National Sales Manager. Position open due to pending retirement of incumbent employee.CompensationVery competitive base salary, annual bonus, monthly car allowance, all expenses and full company benefits.
