Digital/Social Media Specialist

Fitness nutrition consumer products company looking for a Digital/Social Media Specialist:

• Develop and implement social media strategies and best practices across multiple platforms (e.g. Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, Periscope, Pinterest, Reddit, etc.
• Manage social media campaigns and oversee day-to-day activities
• Develop and implement creative and highly measurable social media programs and campaigns. This includes planning an editorial calendar, creative strategy and briefs and copy editing; Photoshop expertise is a plus
• Own the user engagement and business impact of campaigns and communities; contribute to acquisition strategy and optimization
• Develop influencer/advocate programs with athletes and fitness influencers and maintain relationships
• Own and update brands social media reporting program; communicate successes and lessons learned; actively listen to the social media community and regularly report findings
• Identify opportunities, trends and features in the social media space; justify investments in new social media trends through business metrics and optimization and testing across brands
• Work with the Marketing Team to support the integration of social features across our sites
• Ensure that campaigns meet marketing objectives
• Interface daily with marketing, analytics, and creative team members
• Bachelors Degree required, preferably in journalism, marketing, or PR
• 3-5 years of marketing, public relations or corporate communications experience, with 1-2+ years of direct social media experience in the fitness and nutrition space.
• Proven success in launching and executing social media campaigns, including: Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, Pinterest, LinkedIn etc.
• An accomplished track record of digital initiatives driving content sharing, community participation, and lasting brand connections
• A deep understanding of content and messaging optimization by channel, and how to best build a brand online
• Copy writing skills; strong written communication skills
• Experience measuring, analyzing, and presenting campaign and program performance against established business objectives
• Working understanding of SEO and SEM
• Extraordinary people skills and confidence working with cross-functional groups
• Tenacity and thick skin, with the ability to turn input from all levels into improved output and greater results
• Photo editing (Photoshop) skills a plus
